Together we stand: WESMARRDEC’s success story in S&T

Together we stand!

This was the resounding theme behind the Western Mindanao Agriculture, Forestry and Resources Research and Development Consortium (WESMARRDEC)’s recent achievement as 2005-2006 Most Improved Regional Consortium based on the 2006 Ugnay Award evaluation.

PCARRD commended WESMARRDEC for its accomplishments on research and technology management through the consortium’s excellent coordination, full cooperation of the member-agencies as well as the active support of the LGUs. Indeed, “together we stand” is a fitting motto behind this achievement.

WESMARRDEC was also recognized for actively supporting the Techno Gabay Program, the project on Rubber Budwood Garden, as well as the capability development of researchers, among others.

Dr. Patricio S. Faylon, PCARRD Executive Director presented the Plaque of Recognition to WESMARRDEC during the consortium’s 1st quarter meeting last 20 March. The plaque was received by Dr. Eldigario D. Gonzales, President of the Western Mindanao State University and of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges and Chairman of the Regional Research and Development Coordinating Committee of WESMARRDEC

PCARRD also cited the strong and committed leadership of Dr. Eldigario D. Gonzales; Dr. Emilie C. Enriquez, Consortium Director; Mr. Erwin O. Alonzo, Regional Management Information Services Coordinator; Ms. Mary Grace M. Buñol, Regional Applied Communication Office Coordinator; Mr. Reynante E.
