on organic and organic-based agriculture conducted by the National
Agriculture and Resources Research and Development Network for the
period 1995-2005. |

R&D in pest and disease management:
- Earwig: a new biological control agent for corn borer and other lepidopterous pests
- Bagging of mango fruits for lower insect and disease damage in fruits
- Peperomia pellucida and Euphorbia hirta for controlling growth of fungi Fusarium sp. and Curvularia sp in citrus
- Indigenous botanical pesticides against whitefly of sweetpotato
- Integrated weed management practices for sugarcane
- Management of garlic storage pests (hot water treatment for longer shelf life of garlic bulbs stored in boxes; storing garlic bulbs in dried lagundi for less weight loss and bulb damage)
- Evaluation of botanical pesticides against vegetable insect pests
- Crop wastes as potential sources of natural medicine/cosmetic products, pesticides/insecticides, and paper products
