PCARRD
is inviting Filipino scientists involved in the agricultural sciences,
technology demonstration and application, and crop and livestock
biotechnology to conduct postdoctoral research in South Korea.
The postdoctoral
fellowship program is the latest addition to the work plan of scientific
and technical cooperation between PCARRD and the Rural Development
Administration (RDA) of South Korea.
Initially for
2006, PCARRD will endorse five scientists to be sent to RDA. The
grantees will conduct their research work in any of RDA’s
research institutions for 10–12 months, which can be extended
for a maximum of two years.
PCARRD, which
manages the program, has sent out details of the program to the
National Agriculture and Resources Research and Development Network.
Screening and evaluation are ongoing.
Applicants
must hold doctoral degrees and must have served their agencies for
at least three years after conferment of the said degrees. They
must be 40 years old and below, with a good command of the English
