PCARRD
will be accepting nominations for the 2006 Pantas and Tanglaw Awards
for outstanding individual and institutional achievements in agriculture,
forestry, and natural resources research and development until June
30, 2006.
Given every
two years, the awards carry cash awards and research grants totaling
over P2 million.
The Pantas Award
has two categories––researcher/scientist and research
administrator. The most outstanding researcher/scientist shall receive
P100,000 in cash, P1 million in research grant, and a trophy. The
most outstanding research administrator shall receive P100,000 in
cash and a trophy.
The Tanglaw
Award, with a P1 million research grant, is given to the most outstanding
research institution with significant contributions to national
development in the last five years.
Nominees may
come from member-agencies of the PCARRD-coordinated 14 regional
R&D consortia and the National Agriculture and Resources Research
and Development Network.
The awards will
be conferred during the PCARRD anniversary celebration in November
this year.
