PCARRD
has signed a deal with the Kanayunan Techno-Transfer Group, Inc.
(KTTGI), a nongovernmental organization involved in animal healthcare
technology transfer, to disseminate and promote to farmers in the
regions the Council’s mature technologies and information
on livestock and poultry nutrition and management as well as crop
management and protection.
PCARRD
will provide KTTGI with information materials to support Gintong
Kaalaman Library and Kaalaman Plus, KTTGI’s modalities for
television and radio in the regions. Both organizations shall be
developing print materials and video documentations on technologies
as needed.
PCARRD
will also link its Techno Gabay Program, particularly its pool of
magsasaka-siyentista (farmer-scientists) and the Farmers’
Information and Technology Services centers, with KTTGI in order
to boost the technology transfer efforts in the regions.
The
memorandum of agreement was signed by PCARRD Executive Director
Patricio S. Faylon and KTTGI President Ted D. Ontimare in simple
ceremonies at the Royale Parc Hotel, Tagaytay City, last January
