Basud
Mayor Silverio Quinones III welcomed the organizers of the caravan
and the farmer-participants. Meanwhile, provincial agriculturist
Rodolfo Salamero pledged their counterpart support to the K-AgriNet.
The
town’s LGU hosted the event led by Ms. Trinidad Relloso, Basud
Farmers’ Information and Technology Services Center manager.
Co-hosting
the Bicol caravan is the Bicol Consortium for Agriculture and Resources
Research and Development (BCARRD) led by its consortium director,
Dr. Ninfa Pelea. BCARRD is PCARRD’s regional research and
development network in Region 5.
The
K-AgriNet Program aims to modernize Philippine agriculture with
the use of information and communications technology in accessing
