Agriculture, Forestry and Environment:  Macro Situationer, 1997

The agriculture, fishery and forestry sectors’ contribution to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) ranged from 20.93-22.28% over the last five years.  Outputs within the sectors in 1996 were:  83.4% from agriculture; 16.2% from fisheries; and 0.4% from forestry.  For the same year, 72% of total agricultural output came from crops, 23% from livestock and poultry and 5% from agricultural services.
