This
data series is part of the effort of the Socio-Economics Research
Division of PCARRD to consolidate statistical figures on
commodity basis. Various agencies like the National Census and
Statistics Office, the Bureau of Agricultural Economics, Bureau of
Domestic Trade, the Central Bank of the Philippines, the National
Economic and Development Authority, and other collaborating agencies
were tapped for this publication. Agency differences in statistics
were reflected in the presentation. These figures could not be merged
as they have been computed using different methodologies.
The data series is intended as a useful source of benchmark
information for researchers, policy makers, and agribusiness people.
