El Niño is a recurring event and its negative effects have been vividly felt in the Philippines. In preparation for future El Niño occurrence, PCARRD has compiled information and technologies specific to ENSO mitigating measures. Some of these technologies are as follows:

The book and CD formats contain the following information: introduction about ENSO; the world and Philippine setting; impact assessment; mitigating measures for EL Niņo and La Niņa; and indigenous knowledge and practices. The technologies presented apply to agriculture, livestock, forestry, and fisheries sectors. Some of these are considered outputs of research and development activities of different agencies.
