Grain crops, particularly rice and corn, are among the critical agricultural
commodities that are likely to be affected by La Niņa. Standing crops
are in danger of being washed-out, while harvested grains are prone
to losses with prolonged exposure to wet condition. With the possibility
of incurring huge losses in postproduction operations, the appropriateness
of the adopted post production practices and facilities must be ensured.
