The problems brought about by the occurrence of El Niņo and La Niņa are not new to the Philippines. Drought and flooding are realities, which are regularly being faced in our local production sectors. Farmers and fisher folks on their part have evolved effective mitigation mechanisms that are appropriate to local conditions. This project aims to document such indigenous knowledge and practices and make them available to all other possible users. |
