To
promote national action in matters relating to agricultural development,
PCARRD has stepped up its advocacy program through industry strategic
plans captured in fact sheets.
The FACT SHEETS are one-page accounts
of commodities prioritized by PCARRD. Specifically, the fact sheets
detail the research and development interventions deemed to create
impacts on the agricultural industry by 2010.
Fifteen fact sheets –– on mango, banana, abaca, coffee,
papaya, organic fertilizer, white corn, coconut, bamboo, wooden
pole, jatropha, ethanol, goat, native chicken, and carabao––have
so far been developed.

These fact sheets provide an outlook of progress––that
science and technology (S&T) intervention is key to solving
agricultural problems and that eventually, S&T will help generate
