Knowledge Networking Towards Enterprising Agricultural Communities
(K-AgriNet) partners and stakeholders expect better program implementation
with the recent completion of the Project Monitoring and Information
System (PMIS) developed by the Development Academy of the Philippines
(DAP).
The
PMIS is an on-line database system developed primarily to monitor
activities, submit reports, record outputs and share vital information
on K-AgriNet. The system contains information on K-AgriNet work
program, logframe, progress, accomplishment, information and communications
technology (ICT) wares deployed and baseline status and results.

The
information contained in the PMIS is accessible only to partner
agencies and stakeholders to support policy formulation, program
planning and decision-making. However, the program logframe and
accomplishments are accessible to the general public.
The web-based
system features password protection, lock-in target data and accomplishment
report, and graphical representation of program accomplishments.
It also provides for quick and easy retrieval of information and
reports generation.
DAP presented
the PMIS to PCARRD and to the Philippine Rice Research Institute
(PhilRice) during a briefing held last 13 July at DAP office in
Pasig City. (Neri Ann V. Lawas and Mercedita P. Sisteberio, S&T
