CAGAYAN
DE ORO CITY – The Cotabato Agriculture Resources Research
and Development Consortium (CARRDEC) looks forward to developing
globally competitive products from the region with the fresh insights
gathered during the 2nd Mindanao Agri and Food Convention held last
23-25 April, this city.
With
the theme, “Mindanao Agribusiness for the Philippines and
the World Market,” the convention aimed at enhancing the agribusiness
sector in Mindanao.

It gathered a multi-sectoral audience, including the national and
local governments, the academe, the business sector and delegates
from CARRDEC, headed by Dr. Hersie C. Nicor and the consortium’s
partner-member agencies.
The
participation of CARRDEC, especially of its Farmers’ Information
and Technology Services (FITS) center managers is expected to contribute
to the FITS centers’ aim of producing globally competitive
products from their respective focus commodities.
The
convention was organized by the Chamber of Agriculture, Fisheries
and Food Industries of Northern Mindanao, Inc. in cooperation with
the Department of Agriculture, the National Agriculture and Fishery
Council, the Mindanao Economic and Development Council and the United
