ACIAR,
PCARRD upgrades R&D project management and commercialization
skills |

The Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR)
and PCARRD upgraded local capability on research and development
(R&D) project management and commercialization through a special
training course held from 4 to 8 June at the Oasis Hotel, Los Baños,
Laguna.
ACIAR
and PCARRD sponsored the training program recognizing that countries
with better R&D management and commercialization would contribute
to the faster accumulation of knowledge and innovation, which are
the key driving forces in a knowledge economy.

| The
course, which focuses on enhancing competencies that lead to R&D
project success, developed the participants’ skills on value
chain management for R&D products and technologies, managing
value migration and determining the commercialization pathways for
research projects among others.

The course also featured analytical tools useful for research
team formation, multi-organizational collaboration, project
leadership, and R&D project management.
Training

a combination of classroom and practical learning activities,
which participants found worth replicating in their respective
organizations. |
