KUALA
LUMPUR, Malaysia - Scientists, farmer organizations, and other tropical
fruits industry players from producing countries are set to gather
here for the “International Seminar on Economics and Marketing
of Tropical and Sub-Tropical Fruits” from 16 to 18 July 2007.
PCARRD
has agreed to the invitation of the Malaysia-based Tropical Fruits
Network (TFNet) and will send its Director for Socio-economics Research,
Dr. Albert P. Aquino to share local knowledge and experiences.
Aquino
will be presenting the paper, ”Exploring the link Between
Supply Chain Management and Transaction Economics: A Cursory Evaluation
of Export Mango and Small-hold Banana Marketing in the Philippines,”
which he co-authored with Dr. Ernesto O. Brown and Mr. Richard B.
Daite, both of PCARRD.
