The division's internal
organization provides a framework for the implementation of its
functions. It is composed of regular and project staff working
under the leadership of a Director.
The ARMRD Secretariat operates
through three major sections: Resources Generation and
Project Development Section (RPDS); Research and
Development Program Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Section
(RPMES); and Research and Development Utilization Section
(RDUS).
-
In general, the RPDS is
responsible for developing programs and projects and
generating resources for R and D activities and manpower
development.
-
The RPMES monitors and evaluates
proposed, completed, and ongoing R and D projects. Also, it is
in charge of programming budget allocations and releases for
agricultural resources management related projects.
-
The RDUS reviews R and D
results, packages these into usable forms, and coordinates
information dissemination through various modalities.
ARMRD strengthens collaboration
with local, private, and foreign agencies through tie-ups on
projects of mutual interest, forums, workshops, and other
related activities.
In performing its functions, ARMRD
taps the technical support of its two commodity teams and
experts pool. These are experts from different agencies
participating in the division's activities on an on-call basis.
Moreover, ARMRD works through
linkages with various agencies operating as a network. This
network is composed of a national center, regional centers,
cooperating stations, and specialized agencies. They conduct R
and D activities on agricultural resources management.
