Description: The micromill comes in two model the Household model and the Village type. for the House model the milling rate is at 50-75 kg per hour while the village type is 150-200 kg per hour. Both model has the same milling and headrice recovery at 60-67% and 50-70%, respectively.

UPLB Village Ricemill

UPLB Village Ricemill

Description: The UPLB Village Ricemill has an input capacity of 300 kg/hr and milling recovery of 66-68%. The head rice recovery is around 65-80% depending on the variety and drying characteristics of the palay. It is a rubber roll and steel huller as whitener. The unit weighs 250 kg.

IRRI Micromill 

IRRI Micromill

Description: The improved small-scale rice milling, of 100 and 200 kg/hr capacity, are available. Based on user feedback, the micro rice mills have consistently produced high milling recovery over 70%, depending on the quality of the paddy being milled. The actual capacity may exceed that listed capacities with a skilled operator. These micro mills can be locally manufactured, are easy to operate, and capable of producing bran for livestock feed..

PhilRice Flourmill 

AMDP PhilRice Flourmill

Description: The flourmill is a portable low cost mill that produces fine dry rice flour. It has four major parts: the hopper, the cyclone separator, rotor chamber and electric motor. The mill comes in two models: the household and the plant model. 

Features:

  • It produces fine dry rice flour
  • It can also be used for milling soya, mungbean, coffee grains and root crops such as cassava and sweet potato
  • It prevents flour contamination caused by wet milling 
  • It lengthens storage life of flour up to six months compared to shorter storage life of wet flour

  • Flours produced from this mill are best for bakery products and other processed foods
  • The machine is easy to fabricate, operate and maintain gate regulated by a crank per bin
