While medium scale manufacturers operate within their province or
region and the large scale manufacturers operate nationwide and
they have well entrenched distributors’ network and they
have
the capability to penetrate the international market. From the
result of nationwide survey of
223 agricultural machinery
manufacturer and dealers, manufacturers and dealers were
classified as:
Manufacturers – are
those that produce one or several types of farm machinery and
usually do not sell other items
from other manufacturers.
Manufacturers
-Dealers– manufacture their own line of items but also sell
either
consigned
items or several brands of other farm machinery.
Dealers – carry
several items and brands from varying sources and are not
usually
engaged
in manufacture
Others – enterprise
engage in importation, distribution, wholesaler, and retail in
combination
with manufacturing
