This manual is a two-week training course for NGO technicians and other development workers to update their knowledge and skills in the application of agroforestry principles in soil and water conservation and management. Discussions on the significance of soil and water conservation and management, soil erosion and its control, appropriate agroforestry systems and soil and water conservation strategies were included. The said manual is based on UAP's three years experiences in the conduct of SWCM.

APPM is a one-week training course designed for NGO managers and other executives who wish to upgrade their skills in managing agroforestry projects. The current upland management issues including gender concerns, agroforestry systems and methods of site assessment, as well as the integration of various management tools in the planning and implementation of agroforetry projects were discussed. An exercise on project proposal and re-entry plan preparation were also dealt with.
