Improved Fallow


The improved fallow system is an attempt to improve traditional shifting cultivation. This is done by supplementing the fallow vegetation to hasten the rejuvenation of soil during fallow period. Instead of waiting for nature to revegetate, leguminous nitrogen-fixing MPTS are planted on the field.
