The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) assists the PCARRD Executive Director in:

• Ensuring the quality and effectiveness of the national research and development policies, plans, programs and projects for S&T development;
• Determining the national R&D priorities as basis for packaging and review of programs and projects aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of Philippine products, ensuring food security and alleviating poverty;
• Formulating and recommending strategies for the development and use of human resources, facilities and funds for R&D throughout the National Agriculture and Resources Research and Development Network (NARRDN);
• Formulating and recommending strategies for improving R&D governance;
• Identification of policies for advocacy; and
• Defining and recommending appropriate technologies and approaches in technology transfer, promotion and commercialization.
