Description
The PCARRD Governing Council (GC) is the highest
policy-making body of PCARRD. Essentially, its task is to provide
a stable link between national development goals and science and
technology research objectives. The linkage provided by the GC
is crucial because it assures the sustained relevance and responsiveness
of the NARS to critical issues and exigencies in agriculture,
forestry and natural resources. The Governing Council concentrates
on bringing new novel ideas, identifying focus of plans, programs
and policy initiatives, and developing strategies and guidelines
for a more efficient and effective R&D system.
